Four teams of Guyer High School students recently qualified for the state bass fishing tournament.
The Guyer students competed with about 250 other teams in the regional tournament on Lake Lewisville earlier this month, and they did well enough at the weigh-in to qualify for the Texas High School Bass Association tournament from May 18-20 on Lake Sam Rayburn, according to a Denton ISD news release.
The Guyer students headed to the state tournament include Clay Beeler, Chris Beeler, Bryce Hauk, Tucker Nickells, Tyler Barton, Brandon Green and Dawson Kidwell.
