Flower Mound will celebrate the completion of some major improvements to Heritage Park this weekend.

The ceremony will include live music, bounce houses and refreshments at 10 a.m. Saturday at Heritage Park, 600 Spinks Road, to celebrate the completion of Phase III construction at the park, according to the town of Flower Mound. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs.

Phase III includes amenities like fully-shades splash pad, a performance pavilion with seating, a new restroom facility and additional parking and trails. The splash pad and the Fort Wildflower playground, which has been closed during construction, will be open to the public after the ceremony.

Construction on the fourth and final phase of the Heritage Park improvement project will begin soon, which will include over a mile of multipurpose trail, wildflower areas, a nature observation platform, wildlife encounter artwork, entry signs and an 18-basket disc golf course, according to the town.
