We’re only three months into 2018, but boy have we been busy here at Foodie Friday DFW!
Between our official Foodie Friday DFW launch and visiting a bunch of fantastic local restaurants, we figure there may have been something you missed amidst all the excitement!
So, today we’re recapping all the restaurants we’ve visited so far in 2018. Check out the lineup below!
Foodie Friday DFW: The Market at Lakeside
Billy and Talitha Ledet have created a charming market in the heart of Lakeside DFW that curates specialty items based on the needs of the residents of Lakeside DFW. It truly is an expansion of residents’ homes!
Pokey O’s in Parker Square celebrated their big Grand Opening Celebration at the end of March and we are so glad to have this cookie and ice cream shop here in our community. And their Pokey O My Gosh will leave you saying just that!
Seven Mile Cafe has long been one of my favorite brunch spots here in our community. Their menu is so easily customized no matter your dietary preferences or restrictions. We hear their gluten-free pancakes are AMAZING! I’m personally a fan of their Eggs Benedict – California Style.
Taco Ocho blends the fantastic cuisines of eight Latin American countries to make their own style and selection of Latin food. And if you didn’t know, they serve a fantastic brunch on the weekend that’s a HUGE hit with the locals!
People all over Denton County have been telling us for years to visit Barley & Board on Denton Square. This place is incredible. I love a good cheese board and their Mother Board is très magnifique! You’ll also need to save room at the end of dinner for their cookie plate made with their three homemade cookie recipes and served with a carafe of creamy milk from Mill-King Market and Creamery.
One of Highland Village’s most beloved restaurants just might be Peter’s Pizzeria. Pete and Liz Pagano are natives of New Jersey and serve up delicious Sicilian-style pizzas that will have East Coaster’s feeling right at home!
Have you heard the news? The Flour Shop moved at the end of 2017 into a HUGE new location in Flower Mound! There’s tons of room to come in and enjoy a cup of coffee and any of their sweet treats. And they’re still serving up tons of yummy options including my personal favorite – their black velvet cupcakes.
I think fans of Local Pint were really hoping this place would stay a secret, but I couldn’t help but tell everyone how amazing this “hidden gem” is! Their BOJ (Bacon Onion Jam) Burger is my jam. And I absolutely loved getting to meet Owner, Anna Borland. She and her restaurant/bar are a great addition to our community!
