Lady Eagles cruise to playoff win

The Lady Eagles showed why they are the three-time defending state champions on Monday night, defeating Dallas Carter by 51 points in the bi-district round of the playoffs.

Argyle led by a score of 51-13 at half time and out-scored the Lady Cowboys in all four quarters for a final score of 85-34.

Rhyle McKinney led the way in scoring for the Lady Eagles, while Gabby Standifer added 22 points in the game.

Sydney Standifer scored 14 points for Argyle and Morgan Yarbrough finished the contest with 13 points.

Rachel Fields, Brooklyn Carl, Abby Williams, Grace Freeman and Kennedy Reaves combined for 11 points for the Lady Eagles.

Argyle will face the winner of the Caddo Mills/Aubrey game in the area round at a time and date to be determined.
