Several local police departments are collecting toys to give to area children in need for Christmas.

Blue Santa in Bartonville

Bartonville has launched its “Blue Santa” program for the season. The giving tree is located inside Bartonville Town Hall, 1941 Jeter Road East, with wish tags for each child. Residents can stop by between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. until Dec. 13.

Additional suggested items from the town include warm blankets, gloves, hats and monetary and grocery store gift card donations. For more information, call 817-693-5280.
Santa Cops in Flower Mound
The Flower Mound Police Department is running its “Santa Cops” toy drive for local children who may not otherwise receive a gift from Santa Claus on Christmas.
If you want to donate money or gift cards, drop them off at the police department, 4150 Kirkpatrick Lane. New, unwrapped, non-violent toys can be dropped off there or at many locations around town. Click here for the full list of collection sites.
You can nominate a family that needs help from the Santa Cops by Dec. 4 here. The toy drive ends Dec. 13.
