One airlifted from crash in Highland Village

Highland Village officials responded to a single-vehicle crash on Monday morning that resulted in a patient being transported to the hospital via CareFlite helicopter.

City officials said: “This morning around 10:40 a ¾ ton truck crashed into a tree in the 900 block of Highland Village Road. There were four adult males in the truck. One with suspicion of head injury and femur fracture was transported via air medical. The other three were transported by ambulance, one with open fracture to his ankle and the other two complaining of chest pain and shortness of breath. The Highland Village Fire Department, two units from Lewisville and one from Flower Mound responded.  Also a dog was in the back of the truck and ran off  – we don’t have a description of the dog but encourage anyone who sees a loose dog to contact us at 972-317-6551.”
