Flower Mound names new economic development director

Andrea Roy

With 20 years of economic development experience, the majority spent in North Texas, Andrea Roy was selected as the new Economic Development Director for the Town of Flower Mound.

Roy most recently served as the Economic Development Manager for the City of Carrollton, a position she held since March 2015.

“I am thrilled to be joining the Town of Flower Mound,” said Roy. “I look forward to continuing the Town’s economic development efforts and building upon the foundation that has already been established, while also fostering a business-friendly environment that does not compromise quality design and responsible regulation. I welcome the opportunity to meet with business owners, local developers and brokers, community leaders, and other interested parties as soon as possible.”

Roy was selected for her extensive experience in diverse economic development and municipal planning in addition to her knowledge of utilizing the Texas Enterprise Fund, a strong motivational tool for out-of-state businesses to choose Texas.

“We are excited to welcome Andrea to the Flower Mound family,” said Flower Mound Town Manager Jimmy Stathatos. “Her unique blend of experience in both economic development and the planning process is the perfect fit for the Town as we move forward with seeking quality economic development projects to complement our existing business community.”

Roy will start her position with Flower Mound on March 20.
