A celebration of life for Kierstin Eaddy will be held this Saturday, July 26, at Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church, 6101 Morriss Rd. in Flower Mound beginning at 1 p.m.
Eaddy, 14, of Flower Mound passed away Sunday, July 20, from injuries received at an organized karting event at Texas Motor Speedway.
Eaddy was born May 22, 2000 to Todd and DeVonna Eaddy in Grapevine, Texas. She was a student at June Shelton School in Dallas where she participated in soccer and track and field.
Eaddy was part of breaking several school records this past school year. She represented Kodiak Track and Field Club this summer in the USATF Junior Olympics. She had received the “Spirit of Shelton” award , the highest award a student can receive, from the June Shelton School this spring. She was a Girl Scout, volunteered with SpiritHorse Therapeutic Riding Center in Corinth. Kierstin was an avid kart enthusiast and had been racing since she was seven. She owned her pre-assembled kart and wanted to become an engineer and design her own automobile.

Kierstin is survived by her parents Todd and DeVonna Eaddy of Flower Mound; sister, Natalie Eaddy also of Flower Mound; her paternal grandmother, Shirley Eaddy of Flower Mound; and maternal grandfather, Daryl Goodenough of Weyerhaeuser, WI. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Lana Goodenough and paternal grandfather, Walter Eaddy.
