The Marcus boys soccer team won the playoff version of the battle of the mound on Tuesday night, defeating Flower Mound 2-0 to advance.
Danny Blaney scored on an assist from Trevor Costello. Costello then added a goal of his own on an assist from Hank Steinhafel.
Marcus (17-1-3) will face Arlington (19-4-2) in the regional semifinals on Friday at 4 p.m. at Scharbauer Sport Complex in Midland.
