The Marcus basketball team made quick work of Garland Naaman Forest on Friday night to advance to the state finals for the second straight year.
Marcus defeated Naaman Forest by a score of 59-34 to improve their season record to 38-2.
The Marauders took a 25 point lead into the half and never looked back, as they prepare to square off with Fort Bend Travis at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Marcus Smart led Marcus in scoring with 23 points in the game, while Phil Forte and AJ Luckey scored eight points each.
Nick Banyard and Matt Ledford each scored six points a piece in the game, and Cody Apfel, Sean Campbell, Jacob Van Natten and Michael Wheeler combined for eight points.
