Traffic is moving a little slower on the stretch of FM 407 next to Lantana.
Texas Department of Transportation officials recently lowered the speed limit from 55 to 50 mph after completing a traffic survey on FM 407 inside the Bartonville town limits.
The Bartonville Town Council approved the new speed limit at their January council meeting and the 50 mph signs went up in late February.
The new speed limit is in effect from the east side of FM 407’s intersection with Lantana Trail to south of the intersection of FM 1830 by the Exxon station.
