Argyle Police Chief shares back-to-school safety reminders

Argyle Police Chief Temple Cottle

With less than a week until school starts back up in Argyle, Police Chief Temple Cottle shared some safety reminders on the Argyle Police Department’s social media pages.

Cottle first warned to keep an eye out for school zones, which drivers may have become used to disregarding during the summer. He also urged parents to double-check to make sure their kids are safely buckled in the car.

Cottle also reminded drivers to never pass a school bus with its lights flashing, unless directed otherwise by the bus driver. And finally, Cottle encouraged everyone, “If you see something, say something.”

“That’s important if you see something suspicious around your schools or in your neighborhood,” he said in the video.
