Guyer, Flower Mound, Argyle move on in basketball playoffs

Denton Guyer 89, Southlake Carroll 56

The Wildcats sailed to a 33-point victory over Southlake Carroll on Tuesday night in the bi-district round of the playoffs.

Le’Tre Darthard, Jalen Wilson and De’Vion Harmon all finished the game with 18 points a piece, and JaKobe Coles added 16 points for Guyer.

Grayson Carter, Tyler Mcghie, Brandon Bird, CJ Colley, Greg Willis and Calvin Phillips combined for 19 points in the game for the Wildcats.

Guyer will play DeSoto in the area round on Thursday, Feb. 22 at a time and location to be determined.

Flower Mound 71, Wylie 64

A strong third quarter lifted the Jaguars to victory on Tuesday night, as Flower Mound defeated Wylie by seven points in the bi-district round of the playoffs.

Barrett Harms led the way for the Jags with 23 points, while Jeffrey Mills added 16 points and Caleb Lohner scored 12 points.

Colton Martin and Ben Hanley scored 10 points a piece in the game.

Flower Mound outscored the Pirates 14-8 in the third quarter.

The Jaguars will play the winner of the Waco Midway/Cedar Hill game in the area round at a time and date to be determined.

Argyle 45, Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy 41

The Eagles opened up the postseason with a victory on Tuesday night, defeating Oak Cliff Faith Family by four points in the bi-district round.

Argyle will face Melissa in the area round on Feb. 22 at a time and location to be determined.
