Bartonville Town Council members on Tuesday night voted to cancel a public forum scheduled for Aug. 5 to discuss the future of the town’s police department.
Due to the Town of Double Oak’s vote to cease conversations regarding contracted police services with Bartonville, town staff presented a proposed salary “step plan” to assist in budgeting for future police officers along with two proposed staffing options with five and six full-time officers, including the Police Chief.
