Foodie Friday: Enjoy a coffee break

Have you been searching for a relaxing environment where you can grab a cup of coffee and a light lunch with friends? Or someplace quiet where you can have a quick business meeting?

This week we had our own business lunch at Trio Craft Coffee on FM 2499 near Red Hot & Blue and next door to Fish City Grill.

We were immediately overcome by how CUTE and inviting this place is. And it’s perfect if you want to bring your computer to get some work or studying done, to catch up with friends, or to sit at the bar and watch them create their hand-crafted drinks.

We ordered a couple of drinks to get started, including a latte (complete with leaf design), their Specialty Cascara Tea which is a coffee cherry tea, and a mango smoothie. They were all made to order and were all delicious (my business partners tried the coffee drinks, I promise).

Even their water was exciting to drink though – served in mason jars, adding to the comfort and appeal of the place.

And since we were there at lunch, we gave their paninis a try. And they were all INCREDIBLE. Made with perfectly pressed ciabatta buns which they get locally and the freshest of ingredients.

I ordered the Chicken Club with oven roasted chicken breast, crispy bacon, creamy havarti cheese and a rosemary aioli.

Traci ordered the Trio GGC (Grown-Up Grilled Cheese) which was crispy bacon, creamy havarti cheese, wild organic arugula tossed in a sherry vinaigrette and sliced Granny Smith Apples.

Kari ordered the Turkey Pesto which was herb roasted turkey breast, spinach, provolone cheese and basil pesto.

And our business partners both ordered the Cubano which is a traditional Cuban with their own little twist. It has pulled pork, ham, dill pickles and a zesty dijon aioli.

Like I said, all of them had great flavor and were totally satisfying. And they all come served with your choice of kettle chips or a side spring mix salad with House dressing.

If you’re looking for a relaxing and inviting place to stop by and grab a muffin, a cup of coffee or a delicious panini, Trio Craft Coffee needs to be your next destination.

Meet up with some friends there tomorrow or go with the whole family – there’s something for everyone!

We’ll definitely be taking clients there to go over paperwork and may just have a couple more business lunches there as well.

When you go in this weekend, make sure you tell Susan, the owner, that you heard about her on my blog and welcome her to Flower Mound! It’s so great to have a locally-owned coffee house like this around.

Have a relaxing and great weekend, Foodies!
