10-11-2013 10:44 a.m. – Traffic Control – 300 blk. Waketon Rd., Double Oak – Excavator accidentally struck gas line near Fire Station causing King’s Rd. to be closed for approximately an hour until repairs were completed.
10-12-2013 2:02 a.m. – Suspicious Circumstances – 200 blk. Fox Trot, Double Oak – A witness reported a small, blue, 4-door vehicle cruising through the neighborhood several times. Officer located the car and determined the driver was a teen male who was joyriding in grandpa’s car. Juvenile was left with his family for correction.
10-12-2013 1:03 p.m. – Accident – 300 blk. Kings Rd., Double Oak – Officer responded to a report of a male bicyclist lying on the ground. Bicyclist was transported to the hospital by Argyle EMS.
10-12-2013 5:53 p.m. – Dog Bite – 200 blk. Double Oaks Drive, Double Oak – A young boy was bitten by a Terrier who had gotten away from its owner. Animal Control was notified for follow up investigation.
10-12-2013 11:38 p.m. – Stranded Motorist – E. Jeter, Bartonville – DOPD responded to provide traffic control until vehicle could be removed from the roadway.
10-12-2013 11:43 p.m. – Loud Music – 200 blk. Lake Trail, Double Oak – Contact was made with a resident after complaints about noise were made by a neighbor.
10-13-2013 9:55 p.m. – Disturbance – 800 blk. Bradford, Lantana – DOPD dispatched as cover unit for county during investigation of a disturbance.
10-14-2013 8:51 p.m. – Disorderly Conduct – 100 blk. Maple Leaf, Double Oak – Unknown person(s) ringing door bell and running away.
10-15-2013 5:48 p.m. – Shot Fired – 200 blk. Timberleaf Dr., Double Oak – Two reports about a possible shotgun blast. Upon further investigation it was determined that the power company was resetting a transformer.
10-15-2013 7:23 p.m. – Family Disturbance – 300 blk. Redbud St., Argyle – DOPD dispatched to provide cover to Argyle PD during investigation of a family fight.
10-18-2013 9:51 p.m. – Prowler – 300 blk. Valley View Trl., Double Oak – A resident reported an unknown person outside their house. Subject was not located by responding officer.
10-18-2013 11:02 p.m. – Accident – 8100 blk. Justin Rd., Double Oak – A motorist accidentally drove into an unfinished portion of road construction and required a wrecker for assistance after receiving a flat tire.
10-19-2013 12:36 p.m. – Criminal Mischief – 800 blk. Cross Timbers Dr., Double Oak – An unknown person(s) slashed the tires of Complainant’s vehicle which was parked in their residential driveway.
10-19-2013 2:58 p.m. – Ordinance Violation – 100 blk. Royal Oaks, Double Oak – A resident reported two door to door vendors without permits. DOPD officer made contact and determined that one of the men was wanted for a felony warrant for Forgery. Please report door to door vendors without permits to the police department! Please understand that the majority of door to door sales people DOPD encounters have lengthy criminal histories.
10-19-2013 9:11 p.m. – Racing / Speeding – Victory Ln., Double Oak – A resident reported a Ford Mustang racing / speeding in the area. Officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
10-21-2013 8:11 p.m. – Theft – 200 blk. North Hill Ct., Double Oak – Complainant reported a case of 7.62 mm ammunition stolen from their residence.
10-23-2013 1:02 p.m. – Ordinance Violation – 100 blk. Oak Trail Dr., Double Oak – Residents reported persons soliciting without a permit. Officer located the offenders and issued two citations.
10-24-2013 4:03 p.m. – Ordinance Violation – 100 blk. Maple Leaf, Double Oak – Residents reported persons soliciting without a permit. Officer located the offenders and issued two citations.
10-24-2013 7:36 p.m. – Suspicious Circumstances – 400 blk. Garrison Circle, Lantana – DOPD dispatched to call regarding possible theft of construction site materials by multiple males. Sheriffs responded to the scene as primary and it was determined that the subjects were supposed to be on scene piling lumber.
10-24-2013 8:01 p.m. – Minor Accident – 6000 blk. FM407, Denton County – DOPD responded for traffic control at a minor vehicle collision in the county.
10-27-2013 1:01 p.m. – Telephone Fraud – 100 blk. Oak Trail, Double Oak – A resident reported a suspicious circumstance in which an unknown caller tried to give them a phone number to contact and redeem their prize. Complainant became suspicious and contacted the police.
10-27-2013 4:31 p.m. – Minor Accident – FM407 and Jernigan, Denton County – County had no units available to respond. DOPD responded to minor accident within the jurisdiction of Copper Canyon.
10-28-2013 11:30 a.m. – Animal Complaint – 300 blk. Royal Oaks Dr., Double Oak – A person walking their dog was charged by a dog that escaped from its yard. Animal Control was notified.
10-28-2013 5:42 p.m. – Disturbance – 100 blk. Chapel Hill Dr., Double Oak – DOPD responded to a verbal dispute between family members.
10-29-2013 2:52 p.m. – Agency Assist – 300 blk. Hwy 377, Argyle – DOPD dispatched as cover unit for an Argyle PD traffic stop involving a vehicle search.
10-29-2013 7:25 p.m. – Suspicious Circumstances – 100 blk. Forest Oaks Ct., Double Oak – A resident reported an unknown motorist parked in their driveway in a pickup truck. Subject was gone prior to officer arrival.
10-30-2013 4:08 p.m. – Ordinance Violation – 400 blk. Simmons Rd., Double Oak – Dog found wandering the street by patrol officer. Animal was returned to its owner.
10-31-2013 8:11 p.m. – Gun Shot – 200 blk. Green Ridge, Double Oak – Report of a possible gun shot. Officers were unable to locate the origin of the noise.
11-01-2013 4:06 a.m. – Public Intoxication – 1200 blk. FM 407, Corral City – Double Oak Officer assisted North Lake Officer with arresting an intoxicated person.

11-03-2013 4:06 p.m. – Assist Agency – 5000 blk. Shiloh Rd., Flower Mound – Double Oak PD assisted Flower Mound PD with vehicle search.
11-05-2013 3:16 p.m. – Criminal Mischief – 8300 blk. Justin Rd., Double Oak – An unknown person tampered with an underground sprinkler system by removing the control box hatch and pulling wires from inside the box.
11-05-2013 5:00 p.m. – Assist Agency / Assault – 200 blk. Rancho Vista, Double Oak – A resident contacted Double Oak PD to report having been assaulted in Flower Mound. Flower Mound PD was contacted and an investigation was initiated.
11-05-2013 9:31 p.m. – Disturbance – 100 blk. Wolf Run, Bartonville – A resident reported a possible fight on the church playground. Further investigation revealed the disturbance to be young people laughing.
11-07-2013 8:23 p.m. – Intoxicated Person – 2600 blk. FM 407, Bartonville – Witnesses observed an intoxicated male trying to get into a car. Subject was detained for Denton County Sheriff’s Department.
11-10-2013 12:12 p.m. – Disturbance – 200 blk. Twin Lakes Dr., Double Oak – Minor disturbance between siblings quelled by mother.
11-11-2013 4:01 a.m. – Burglary In Progress – 400 blk. Canyon Oaks, Denton County – A county resident reported a burglary. Upon further investigation it was determined that a raccoon had become trapped in the garage.
11-15-2013 6:04 p.m. – Major Accident – 2200 blk. N. Justin Rd. and
Jernigan, Denton County – DOPD assisted Denton County by responding to an accident involving three vehicles.
11-16-2013 4:09 p.m. – Welfare Check – 800 blk. Rockgate, Bartonville – DOPD assisted Bartonville PD with checking welfare of a distraught individual.
11-16-2013 7:46 p.m. – Ordinance Violation – 6100 blk Plantation Ln, Double Oak – Homeowner counseled about unauthorized burning. The fire was put out by the resident.
11-18-2013 1:55 p.m. – Disturbance – 200 blk. Simmons Rd., Double Oak – Neighborhood dispute regarding dogs fighting.
11-19-2013 4:14 p.m. – Fraud – 300 blk. Browncliff, Double Oak – A resident reported an unknown person using his address as a home of residence for possible fraud.

11-21-2013 1:15 p.m. – Ordinance Violation – 100 blk. Carruth Ln. W., Double Oak – Officer responded to a solicitor complaint and issued a citation for violating Town of Double Oak ordinance against door to door solicitation without a permit.
11-23-2013 11:21 p.m. – Ordinance Violation – 100 blk. Cedarcrest Ln., Double Oak – Officer noticed vehicle parked in front of unoccupied residence. Upon further investigation officer noticed the smell of marijuana and located drug paraphernalia. Parents were notified and both subjects were cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
11-24-2013 11:18 p.m. – Welfare Check – 6000 blk. Plantation, Double Oak – Officer responded to request for assistance regarding a distraught child.
11-26-2013 1:54 p.m. – Accident – 100 blk. Oak Trail, Double Oak – A one car accident with a tree. Upon further investigation the officer determined the driver to have been intoxicated on alcohol. An arrest was made and the subject was transported to Denton County Jail.
11-27-2013 3:20 a.m. – Criminal Mischief – 1000 blk. Mason St., Lantana – Double Oak Officer dispatched to assist a deputy with reports of a truck driving on the golf course messing up the greens. Officer was unable to locate the violator.
11-28-2013 7:18 p.m. – Reckless Damage / Failure To Leave Identification – 100 blk. Kings Rd., Double Oak – One car accident causing damage to a concrete driveway and culvert. Motorist fled the scene prior to patrol arrival. Driver was located and cited for leaving the scene.
11-29-2013 11:15 a.m. – Animal Cruelty – 8300 blk. Justin Rd., Double Oak – Local business reported a person for animal cruelty. Information was forwarded to the appropriate jurisdiction.
11-29-2013 2:07 p.m. – Ordinance Violation – 200 blk. Simmons Rd., Double Oak – A resident reported door to door solicitors who did not have permits.
11-29-2013 10:48 p.m. – Disturbance – 100 blk. Knob Hill Ln., Double Oak – Disturbance amongst family members and a visitor. Upon arrival officer found the violator outside and intoxicated on alcohol. Subject was arrested for public intoxication.
12-04-2013 6:40 a.m. – Accident – 8100 blk. Justin Rd., Double Oak – Motorist accidentally drove off roadway and into construction lane damaging their vehicle.
12-04-2013 6:13 p.m. – Suspicious Circumstances – 100 blk. Shady Oaks, Double Oak – Unknown person knocking on resident’s front door. Suspect was gone upon police arrival.
12-05-2013 2:51 a.m. – Alarm w/Open Door – 9100 blk. Blanco Dr., Lantana. – DOPD assisted Denton County by responding to a residential alarm call with open door. Officers did not locate a suspect during a search of the residence.
12-05-2013 4:02 a.m. – Alarm w/Open Door – 100 blk. Fawn Hollow, Lantana. – DOPD assisted Denton County by responding to a residential alarm call with open door. Officers did not locate a suspect during a search of the residence.
12-05-2013 9:42 p.m. – Accident – 8300 blk. Justin Rd., Double Oak – One car accident involving motorist who mistook construction zone for a traffic lane and crashed into concrete roadway.
12-06-2013 5:24 a.m. – Audible Alarm – 9300 blk. Blanco Dr., Lantana – DOPD responded to a residential alarm that upon further investigation was determined to be the smoke alarm. Officer assisted in replacing the alarm battery.
12-07-2013 12:20 p.m. – Traffic Control – McMakin Rd., Bartonville – DOPD assisted with traffic control at request of Bartonville PD.
12-08-2013 4:56 p.m. – Criminal Mischief – 200 blk. Simmons Rd., Double Oak – A resident reported unknown motorists who had “off-roaded” on her property leaving tire ruts.
12-11-2013 3:03 p.m. – Animal Complaint – 100 blk. S. Woodland Trl. Double Oak – A resident reported an injured coyote. Officer notified animal control.
12-12-2013 3:52 a.m. – Animal Complaint – 8100 blk. Justin Rd., Double Oak – Report of a deceased deer in the roadway. Officer moved the animal of the road and away from moving cars.

12-18-2013 10:34 p.m. – Violation of the Health and Safety Code Possession of Narcotics in Penalty Group 1 – 300 blk. Waketon Rd., Double Oak – During a search incident to arrest subject was found to be in possession of narcotics.
12-23-2013 4:07 p.m. – Accident – 7000 blk. FM 407, Double Oak – 2 vehicle accident without injuries.
12-24-2013 3:35 a.m. – Suspicious Activity – 300 blk. Spring Creek Dr., Lantana – DOPD responded to complaint regarding unknown persons moving barricades on FM 407 in an attempt to block traffic.
12-24-2013 4:35 P.M. – Accident – 1800 blk. FM 407, Bartonville – Officer was fueling a police car when a collision occurred at a nearby intersection. DOPD officer assisted with the exchange of information.
