Community Education debuts new class schedule
The LISD Adult and Community Education Department has a new fall class lineup available. Classes include GED test prep, English as a Second Language (ESL), computer skills, photography and cooking for teens. For more information, visit www.lisd.net/commed.

LISD Safe and Drug-Free Program to present anti-bullying program
The LISD Safe and Drug-Free Program will present a bully-prevention presentation Sept. 16 at 6 p.m. at the Bolin Administrative Center, 1565 W. Main St. in Lewisville. Special Olympics to host annual golf tournament
The LISD Special Olympics Team will host the annual golf tournament Sept. 27 at the Indian Creek Golf Club, 1650 Frankford Rd. in Carrollton. All proceeds benefit LISD students and alumni. 4th Annual Marcus High School Drill Team Golf Tournament
The Marcus High School Marquettes and Silver Stars Drill Teams invite you to join them Sunday, October 10,  2010 at the Bridlewood Country Club in Flower Mound.  Shotgun Scramble time is 1:30 pm.  The registration fee of $135.00 per player includes the greens fee for 18 holes of golf on the beautiful Bridlewood Country Club course, a cart, and a dinner service when players finish their rounds of play.  For more information and reservations, contact Jim Mitchell at 214-707-5922 or visit www.marcusdrillteam.com.

Rosettes to host mini dance camp 
The Flower Mound High School Rosettes will hold a one-day mini dance camp for girls in kindergarten through eighth-grade on Oct. 2 from 9 a.m. to noon in the cafeteria. There will be a performance for parents from 11:30 a.m. to noon. Registration is $30 and includes a T-shirt and snacks. Art & Craft Fair Sponsored by the Marcus High School Drill Teams
Mark your calendar for the annual Marcus Drill Team Arts and Craft show featuring handmade items from new and returning vendors.  Jewelry, ornaments, candles, blankets, wall hangings, and belt buckles are just a few of the many treasures available on October 23 from 9:00-to 4:00 at Marcus High School, 5707 Morris Road, Flower Mound. 

Marquette dance camp to be held Sept. 25
All campers age 4 (before 9/1/10) to 8th grade are welcome to the event. $35 per camper. The camp will be held on Saturday September 25, from 9:00 am -11:30 am with a 30 minute performance to follow for parents and guest. Visit www.marcusdrillteam.com.
