FM 3040 was shut down on Thursday afternoon due to a gas leak near the border between Flower Mound and Lewisville.
Atmos Crews were working to fix a gas leak near FM 3040 and Old Orchard, according to the city of Lewisville.
Eastbound and westbound traffic was shut down just east of Old Orchard for several hours, and drivers were urged to seek an alternate route.
