The city of Roanoke, Republic Services and Home Depot Roanoke are putting on their Prevent & Protect Shred Event on Saturday, July 13.
Roanoke residents are invited to come to the Home Depot Roanoke parking lot, 125 E. Hwy 114, for a confidential document shred day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Proof of residency (utility bill and ID) will be required, according to a news release from the city of Roanoke.
The event is free, but a donation of two canned food items is highly encouraged and will be donated to the Roanoke Food Pantry at the conclusion of the event, according to the city. Home Depot will also have vendors, crafts for kids and more throughout the event.
