Road closures planned this weekend at FM 2499, Hwy 121

UPDATE (6/23/19, 8:00 P.M.):  Crews have reopened Hwy 121 following bridge demolition.

There will be several road, lane and ramp closures this weekend in the area of FM 2499 and Hwy 121 as crews demolish the old bridge on the I-635 and Hwy 121 interchange, according to the town of Flower Mound and the Texas Department of Transportation.

As part of the ongoing DFW Connector project, the following closures will take place beginning 8 p.m. Friday, June 21 until 6 a.m. Monday, June 24:

• Full closure of southbound FM 2499 from Grapevine Mills Blvd. to Hwy 121. Traffic will detour to the frontage road.
• Full closure of northbound Hwy 121 at Bass Pro Drive. Traffic will detour to the frontage road.
• Full closure of southbound Hwy 121 at FM 2499 and Grapevine Mills Parkway. Traffic will detour to the frontage road.
• Full closure of southbound Hwy 121 frontage road at Grapevine Mills Trail. Traffic will detour to the frontage road.
• Full closure of westbound I-635 off-ramp to northbound Hwy 121 and FM 2499. Traffic will detour to Bass Pro Drive.
• Full closure of westbound I-635 off-ramp to southbound Hwy 121 and eastbound Hwy 114/DFW Airport. Traffic will detour to Bass Pro Drive.
