A new study has ranked Flower Mound and Highland Village among the top 20 safest cities in Texas, both falling several spots from last year’s list.
SafeWise, a community-focused security organization, published Monday its annual report of “Texas’ 50 Safest Cities of 2019,” using the most recent FBI crime data from 2017 and population data to analyze and rank each city in Texas, according to a news release.
Flower Mound ranks No. 16 in the list, and Highland Village is No. 18. Both fell several spots from last year’s list: Flower Mound was No. 9 last year (and had been in the top 10 for four years in a row) and Highland Village was No. 13.
