Around Argyle – December 2018

Argyle Mayor Donald Moser

As 2018 draws to an end, I want to say what a pleasure and an honor it is working with all the volunteer citizens and staff that make Argyle what it is today.

I also want to let everyone know to watch your mailboxes for the upcoming “Year in Review” that will be coming out soon.  This will outline many of our accomplishments over the past 12-18 months and many of our goals for next year.  We are truly excited about the next couple of years and the opportunities that will be coming our way.

From the entire Town Council and Town Staff, we want to wish everybody a very Merry Christmas and a very happy and safe New Year.

See ya next year!

Seniors Update
Submitted by Stella McDaniel

The Argyle Seniors had a blast at its wiener roast and hayride.

Our thanks to The Argyle Police Department for supplying the wieners and all the trimmings, also to everyone who brought a side dish.

The seniors send thanks also to The Well Church for furnishing a delicious Thanksgiving Luncheon for the seniors and the Fire Department.

We were happy to have with us our Mayor Don Moser, City Manager Kristi Gilbert, Fire Chief Mac Hohenberger and Director of Finance Kim Collins, also Argyle ISD Superintendent Telena Wright.

The Argyle Seniors’ Christmas Luncheon will be Friday, Dec. 21. Everyone is asked to bring a $10 wrapped gift to play the right-and-left game.

The Argyle Police Department will be furnishing the ham and everyone is asked to bring a side dish.

The seniors meet every month on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10 a.m. to exercise and play games.

For more information, contact Stella McDaniel at 940-464-7438, or Karen Kiel at 940-464-0506.

Merry Christmas!
