Registration is now open for the Flower Mound Fire Department’s popular Citizen’s Fire Academy.
Those who participate in the program will receive an inside look at the day-to-day operations of the FMFD and cover a variety of topics including Fire and EMS Operations, CPR and first aid, fire investigations, motor vehicle extrication and live fire training, according to a town news release. The classes will take place on Thursday nights from 7-9 p.m., from Feb. 7 to March 28. There will also be three Saturday morning classes on Feb. 16, March 7 and March 23.
Applications can be found online, or at Central Fire Station, 3911 South Broadway Ave. You must be 18 years or older to participate. Class size is limited, so interested residents are encouraged to sign up early.
