Update: According to a news release sent by the town of Flower Mound on Wednesday afternoon, the FM 2499 closure has been rescheduled from this weekend to next week, from 8 p.m. Oct. 9 to 6 a.m. Oct. 10.
Original story: A section of the southbound lanes of FM 2499 will be closed over the weekend for construction.
Southbound FM 2499 from Grapevine Mills Boulevard to Highway 121 will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday for roadway work for the DFW Connector construction project on I-635 and Highway 121, according to a news release. All traffic will be detoured to the southbound FM 2499 frontage road and all business access will be maintained on the frontage road.
Also, the southbound SH 121 off-ramp to eastbound I-635 will be completely closed during this time, according to the news release. The single right lane will be closed on southbound SH 121, from FM 2499 to Bass Pro Drive, with two lanes remaining open.
All lane closures are subject to change, based on weather and the schedule.
