The town of Flower Mound announced the four businesses that received the annual Food Safety Excellence Awards at this week’s Town Council meeting.
Of more than 300 food establishments, one restaurant in each of the four categories had the best scores on all of their inspections over the last year, according to a town news release. The establishments scored a 97 out of 100 or better on all of their inspections and have had no complaints or enforcement closures.
The town’s three Environmental Health staff members visited each of the qualifying places for rigorous inspections and these were the winners:
- Fast Food: Pizza Hut, 2717 Cross Timbers Road
- Full Service: Red Robin, 5731 Long Prairie Road
- Hospital/ Assisted Living: Autumn Leaves, 3201 Karnes Road
- Grocery Store: Tom Thumb, 2301 Justin Road
