Two new restaurants and a custom bakery are opening up shop soon in Flower Mound.

Costa Vida, a resident-requested restaurant serving fresh, quality Mexican food, will welcome customers by this summer in the former Wells Fargo location at 2628 Long Prairie Road.

Following a trip to Cabo San Lucas, Costa Vida founders, JD and Sarah Gardner, were inspired with a vision. The result was the first Costa Vida location in Layton, Utah.

Being true to the cuisine of coastal Mexico, Costa Vida food is made fresh in each restaurant’s kitchen.

The Catch— a Texas and Louisiana-style seafood restaurant, will open its doors in the space formerly occupied by Modern Market at 3651 Justin Road.

It’s a fast-casual seafood restaurant, serving seafood favorites with fresh ingredients and delivered to order. Menu highlights include: grilled and fried catfish; jumbo shrimp; chicken; White fish, oysters, crawfish, chicken tenders and popcorn; and, jumbo shrimp – blackened, and Cajun-style.

Other North Texas locations include Lewisville, Fort Worth, Arlington and Burleson.

Haley Popp, owner of Hive Bakery, will open her “brick-and-mortar” store in 360 Parker Square before the end of June.

The Flower Mound resident has been operating the bakery out of her home for several years and specializes in custom cakes and desserts made from scratch.
