Double Oak Police Calls

dopd_carsThe following incidents were reported by the Double Oak Police Department between June 21, 2016 and July 26, 2016:

Disturbance – 100 blk. Meadowknoll Dr., Double Oak – Verbal disturbance between young family member and their parent.

Assist Agency – 100 blk. Marketplace Ln., Highland Village – Double Oak Officer assisted Highland Village PD with searching for shoplift theft suspects fleeing from a store.  One subject was arrested.

Arrest – 8300 blk. Justin Rd., Double Oak – During a traffic stop Officer discovered the motorist, a male, 34 years of age was wanted for three traffic warrants.  Subject was arrested and transported to Flower Mound jail.

Assist Agency – 500 blk. Hearthside, Lantana – Double Oak Officer assisted with investigating a disturbance between known parties.

Assist Agency – 3400 blk. East FM 407, Bartonville – Double Oak Officer assisted Bartonville PD with an investigation into a theft suspect who was also criminally trespassing.

Suspicious Vehicle – 8100 blk. Justin Rd., Double Oak – A representative for the property manager reported a suspicious boat and trailer parked in the back of their property.  It was later determined that a customer had parked the boat and trailer on the parking lot.

 911 Hangup – 300 blk. E. Carruth Lane, Double Oak – A person mowing their lawn accidentally dialed 911.

Assist Agency – 700 blk. Copper Woods Ln., Double Oak – Disturbance call involving family members.  Double Oak unit remained with County Deputy until resolution of the call.

Assist Agency – 400 blk. N. Hwy. 377, Argyle – Double Oak Officer assisted Argyle Officer with a traffic stop as they were arresting a motorist for possession of marijuana.

Criminal Mischief – 6600 blk. Hawk Ln., Double Oak – An unknown person knocked over the complainant’s mailbox.

Suspicious Activity – 8100 blk. Justin Rd., Double Oak – At approximately 11 p.m. officer observed two subjects in a car parked behind a local church.  Officer made contact and determined that the persons were not engaged in criminal conduct

Theft in Progress – 200 blk. Valley View Trail, Double Oak – A homeowner reported a possible theft in progress when they observed an unknown person moving their neighbor’s trailer.  Officer made contact and confirmed, through the homeowner, that the person had permission to move the trailer.

Suspicious Activity – 200 blk. Shady Hill Ln., Double Oak – A witness reported an unknown person outside their neighbor’s home using a flashlight.  Further investigation revealed the person to be a house sitter.

Attempted Fraud – 100 blk. Double Oaks Drive, Double Oak – Complainant reported receiving a phone call from a person claiming to be with the Internal Revenue Service threatening them with arrest if they don’t pay a fine.

Suspicious Activity – 8100 blk. Justin Rd., Double Oak – Officer observed multiple juveniles parked behind a church at 10:30 p.m.  Upon further investigation it was determined that no criminal activity was taking place.

Disturbance / Road Rage – Cross Roads and FM 377, Flower Mound – Officer assisted Flower Mound PD with a rolling disturbance allegedly involving two parties and a firearm.  A traffic stop was conducted and one male was found to be in possession of a firearm.  Adult male was taken into custody by Flower Mound PD.

Attempted Fraud – 200 blk. Double Oaks Drive, Double Oak – Complainant reported being contacted by telephone that her computer was suffering from viruses that needed to be removed.

Littering – 200 blk. Simmons, Double Oak – Witness reported a home owner throwing mail into the Town maintained storm drain.

Animal Complaint – 9100 blk. Blanco Drive, Lantana – Officer assisted Denton County Deputies with rounding up an aggressive dog.

Suspicious Circumstances – 200 blk. Kings Road, Double Oak – Report by a passerby of two males drinking beer at a house under construction.  Officer did not locate anyone.

Fraud – 300 blk. Oakview Drive, Double Oak – Complainant reported credit card abuse alleging that an unknown person had opened a credit card account in his name and accumulated $7,500 on his account.  Officer assisted with stopping pending financial transactions.

Criminal Mischief – 8300 blk. Justin Road, Double Oak – Juveniles were reported to be throwing rocks from an empty lot on to the awnings of a business and against a brick wall.  The business owner didn’t want them damaging vehicles and the juveniles were asked to leave the property.

Soliciting Complaint – 100 blk. Lake Trail Drive, Double Oak – Officer was notified of males going door to door offering lawn care services.

Disturbance – 200 blk. Oakview, Double Oak Drive, Double Oak – A handgun was discharged multiple times, within a residence, by a disoriented older male.  Firearms were voluntarily turned over to law enforcement and the involved party was transported to a medical facility.  No one was injured.

Suspicious Person – 8100 blk. Justin Rd., Double Oak – While patrolling officer noticed multiple juveniles in a church parking lot at 12:48 a.m.  Officer made contact with the individuals and determined that there was no ongoing criminal activity.

Welfare Check – 300 blk. Whispering Oaks Drive, Double Oak – Concerned children had officers check on their parents after multiple attempts of contacting them by phone.

Criminal Mischief – 100 blk. Chapel Hill Drive – A witness reported their neighbor’s mailbox being damaged by an unknown person and vehicle.

Assist Agency – 800 blk. Golf Club Drive, Lantana – Officer provided cover for Denton County Deputy quelling a disturbance with an intoxicated person.

Assist Agency – 1100 blk. Capital Rd., Denton County – Officer responded to possible disturbance.  Upon arrival it was determined to have been an accidental pocket dialing of 911.

Assist Agency – 2700 blk. Justin Rd., Bartonville – Contract tree removal employees became involved in a disturbance resulting in one party being issued a citation for assault.

Assist Agency – 1200 blk. Saddlebrook Way, Bartonville – Double Oak Officer assisted Bartonville with searching for a person who had run from law enforcement, on foot, after having been stopped on traffic.

Forgery / Fraud – 8100 blk. Justin Road, Double Oak – Unknown person or persons have been creating financial instruments, without permission, in the Complainant’s name.

Animal Complaint – 100 blk. Shady Oaks, Double Oak – A resident reported a possibly sick opossum in their bushes.  Upon arrival officer determined that the animal was deceased.  Officer helped dispose of the opossum.
