A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for Denton County through Thursday evening.
Widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue through the week. Rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches with isolated amounts in excess of 5 inches is expected.
Between 2 and 3 inches of rain fell on Tuesday afternoon in southern Denton County, causing many county roads to be closed.
