dopd_cars02-15-2016 – Minor Disturbance – 1200 blk. Copper Canyon Rd., Denton County – Verbal dispute between known persons.  No offense.

02-15-2016 – Assist Agency – 1100 blk. Badminton, Argyle – Double Oak Officer assisted with detaining a driver in a hit and run.

02-16-2016 – Alarm – 100 blk. Oak Trail, Double Oak – Residence determined to be secure.

02-16-2016 – Disturbance – Assist Agency – 8300 blk. Holliday Rd., Lantana – Assisted Deputy with investigating a disturbance between parent and child.

 02-16-2016 – Arrest – 6400 blk. Cross Timbers Rd., Flower Mound – During the conduct of a traffic stop it was determined that a motorist had ten traffic warrants for arrest.  A female, 49 years of age, was arrested and transported to Flower Mound jail.

02-17-2016 – Possession / Use of Identifying Information – 300 blk. Waketon Rd., Double Oak – A resident reported that their driver’s license and debit card had been stolen in another jurisdiction.  Resident reported that multiple financial transactions took place, involving their checking account, by an unknown person.

02-17-2016 – Arrest – Balch Springs, TX – Balch Springs Police Department arrested a male 21 years of age for three Double Oak traffic warrants.  Subject was transported to Flower Mound jail by Double Oak Officer.

02-17-2016 – Lost / Stolen Property – 300 blk. Waketon Rd., Double Oak – A resident reported four jars of quarters missing from their garage.

02-18-2016 – Suspicious Person – 8300 blk. Justin Rd., Double Oak – A witness reported a possible intoxicated person.  Subject was located and determined to be sober.

02-19-2016 – Assist Agency – 4000 blk. Abbey Ln., Flower Mound – Double Oak Officer observed a suspect in a Flower Mound offense.  Officer detained the subject until Flower Mound PD arrival.

02-19-2016 – Motorist Assist – E. Carruth Ln. and Justin Rd., Double Oak – Officer assisted teenage motorist with stalled vehicle and waited until a parent arrived at the location to get the vehicle running and out of the roadway.

02-21-2016 – Assist Agency – Branch Crossing / Cherry Lee Ln., Lantana – Double Oak Officer assisted Deputy with investigation into suspicious circumstances after the Deputy observed a vehicle driving without lights at 3:13 a.m. in an area that had experienced numerous vehicle burglaries.

02-21-2016 – Assist Agency – Lantana Trail / Tanner Parkway, Lantana – Officer had two male subjects on mini bikes hide from him behind a brick wall at 3:24 a.m.  Denton County Sheriff’s Deputy was contacted.

02-21-2016 – Suspicious Circumstances – 200 blk. Timberview Dr., Double Oak – A resident reported an unknown vehicle parked in their neighborhood at 5:13 a.m.  Upon investigation officer found three males, who had been drinking at a party the previous evening, sleeping in the vehicle.  Subjects explained they had been drinking and didn’t want to be driving so they parked and went to sleep.  After field sobriety testing the driver was permitted to leave the scene.

02-21-2016 – False Alarm – 100 blk. Meadowknoll, Double Oak.

02-21-2016 – Accident – 500 blk. Waketon, Double Oak – Officer drove up on a two vehicle minor accident.

02-21-2016 – Accident – 5000 blk. Shiloh Rd., Flower Mound – Officer responded to a one vehicle accident in which the motorist had slid off the road and become stuck.  Officer assisted with pushing the car out of the mud.

02-21-2016 – Suspicious Circumstances – 100 blk. Royal Oaks Dr., Double Oak – A witness reported a gun shot.  Officer searched the area and was unable to find the source of the activity.

02-22-2016 – Solicitor Complaint – 100 blk. Trailing Oaks Dr., Double Oak – A resident reported a person soliciting door to door.  Subject was contacted by a police officer and told to obtain a permit from Town Hall.

02-22-2016 – Suspicious Vehicle – 100 blk. W. Carruth Ln, Double Oak – A resident reported an unknown black pickup truck parked in front of their home.  Vehicle departed prior to officer arrival.

02-23-2016 – Accident – 100 blk. Kings Rd., Double Oak – Officers worked accident involving two vehicles.

02-24-2016 – Fraud – 100 blk. Oak Grove, Double Oak – A resident reported an unknown person phoned their home and threatened arrest if he did not pay for a Federal Arrest Warrant.

02-24-2016 – Alarm – 100 blk. Whistling Duck Ln., Double Oak – Accidental activation by a cleaning crew.

02-24-2016 – Motorist Assist – Lantana Trl. and FM 407, Denton County – Officer stayed with a stranded motorist until arrival of a tow truck.

02-24-2016 – Disturbance – 100 blk. Twin Lakes Dr., Double Oak – Dispute among adult family members.  Disturbance quelled when adult child agreed to leave the residence.

02-25-2016 – Suspicious Circumstances – 200 blk. Fox Trot Ln., Double Oak – A dog sitter arrived and found their client’s front door ajar.  Officers did not detect any signs of criminal activity and the dogs were found to be safely inside the home.

02-26-2016 – Suspicious Circumstances – 1000 blk. Cross Timbers Dr., Double Oak – A male reported another male who has recorded him exercising on at least two occasions.

02-27-2016 – Accident – 200 blk. Green Ridge Dr., Double Oak – A vehicle struck a mailbox.

02-29-2016 – Identity Theft – 100 blk. S. Forest Ln., Double Oak – A resident reported that personally identifying information had been taken by an unknown suspect.

02-29-2016 – Disturbance – 5600 blk. Suncreek Path, Flower Mound – Double Oak Officer on meal break flagged down and told about a disturbance.  Officer remained on scene until Flower Mound PD arrival.

02-29-2016 – Assist Agency – Bridlewood Blvd. / Cross Timbers Rd., Flower Mound – Officer assisted Flower Mound PD with foot chase of a known wanted person.  Officers were unable to locate the suspect.

03-01-2016 – Alarm – 200 blk. Colonial Ct., Double Oak – No criminal activity detected.

03-01-2016 – Alarm – 100 blk. Fox Trot Ln., Double Oak – Activation probably due to pets.

03-01-2016 – Solicitor – 6000 blk. Kings Rd., Double Oak – Officer notified door to door salesman about the need for a Town permit to solicit business.

03-02-2016 – Ordinance Violation – 6000 Pepperport Ln., Double Oak – A resident reported suspicious vehicles in their neighborhood.  Upon further investigation it was determined that the vehicles were work trucks improperly parked on the street.  Vehicles were moved and lawfully parked at the officer’s request.

03-04-2016 – Criminal Mischief – 200 blk. Green Ridge, Double Oak – Four residents reported an unknown person(s) had dumped chunks of waste concrete in their trashcans.

03-04-2016 – Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – 6300 blk. Long Prairie Rd., Flower Mound – Officer observed a traffic violation in Double Oak and initiated a traffic stop.  During the course of the traffic stop officer detected drug paraphernalia and issued a citation.

03-04-2016 – Found Property – Justin Rd. at Simmons Rd., Denton County – Officer found a wallet in the vicinity of Justin and Simmons Rd. and was able to return wallet to the owner.

03-05-2016 – Assist Agency – 2600 blk. Old Alton Rd., Denton County – Officer provided assistance to Deputy investigating a disturbance at 1:03 a.m.  Disturbance was quelled without any criminal charges being filed.

03-05-2016 – Traffic Stop / Towed Vehicle – 500 blk. Waketon Rd., Double Oak – Officer stopped a vehicle for speeding.  Upon further investigation it was determined that motorist had no driver’s license, no insurance and fictitious license plates.  Vehicle was towed to the pound and motorist was issued four citations.

03-05-2016 – Arrest – 2200 blk. W. Hickory, Denton, TX – Denton Police Department arrested a male 23 years of age for a Double Oak traffic warrant.  Subject was transported to Flower Mound jail by Double Oak Officer.

03-05-2016 – Motorist Assist – 10000 blk. Justin Rd., Denton County – Officer assisted stranded motorist until vehicle could be refueled.

03-07-2016 – Suspicious Circumstances – 6200 blk. Kings Rd., Double Oak – A resident in charge of watching their neighbor’s home found an open back door.  Officers checked the location and found no other signs of criminal activity.

03-07-2016 – Traffic Complaint – 300 blk. Simmons Rd., Double Oak – A witness reported a red Ford Mustang leaving the area at a high rate of speed.  Officer was unable to locate the vehicle.

03-07-2016 – Assist Agency – 8100 blk. Firestone Dr., Flower Mound – Officer assisted Bartonville PD with investigating possible gun shots from a property at the Bartonville / Flower Mound border.  Officers were unable to locate anyone shooting a firearm.

03-08-2016 – Assist Fire Department – 500 blk. Waketon Rd., Double Oak – Officer provided traffic control after a high wind event knocked two trees on to Waketon Rd. blocking traffic.  Double Oak Volunteer Fire Department responded and quickly cleared the roadway.

03-08-2016 – Traffic Complaint – 300 blk. Oak Trail, Double Oak – Witness reported a speeding vehicle for the second day in a row and officer was able to locate and stop the vehicle.  Subject was stopped, identified and counseled about safe driving.

03-08-2016 – Ordinance Violation – 500 blk. Kings Rd., Double Oak – Officer located two dogs running at large.  Upon looking at their tags officer was able to return the dogs home to Meadowknoll and speak with their owner.

03-09-2016 – Assist Agency – Waketon Rd. at Bridlewood, Flower Mound – Officer assisted with traffic control while Flower Mound PD responded to a one car accident that had occurred at the Town and City border.

03-09-2016 – Suspicious Circumstances – 8100 blk. Justin Rd., Double Oak – Officer observed a pickup truck, occupied by four males, parked in a dark area of the church parking lot at 10:26 p.m.  Upon contact subjects said they were hanging out smoking cigarettes (only two were old enough to smoke).  Subjects were released after officer informed them about recent criminal activity in the area.

03-10-2016 – Ordinance Violation – 200 blk. Meadowknoll, Double Oak – A resident reported loud music playing.

03-10-2016 – Motorist Assist – 100 blk. Simmons Rd., Double Oak – Officer stopped to assist a stranded motorist at 12:09 a.m.  Officer remained with motorist until tow truck arrived to change their tire.

03-11-2016 – Alarm – 100 blk. Twin Lakes Dr., Double Oak – Accidental activation of alarm.

03-11-2016 – Shot Fired – 900 blk. Dyer Rd., Bartonville – Report of a shot fired.  Upon further investigation it was determined that a homeowner had shot at a snake.

03-14-2016 – Alarm – 200 blk. Cross Timbers, Double Oak – Accidental activation.

03-14-2016 – Traffic Complaint – 500 blk. Kings Rd., Double Oak – Vehicle parked partially in the roadway near a school exit.  Officer made contact with the owner, who then moved the vehicle out of the roadway.

 03-14-2016 – Suspicious Circumstances – 100 blk. Kings Rd., Double Oak – A resident reported a contractor who began work on their home and then stopped before completing the work.

03-15-2016 – Assist Fire Department – 100 blk. Cedarcrest Ln, Double Oak – Medical call.

03-19-2016 – Disturbance – 700 blk. McMakin Rd., Bartonville – A person reported having been assaulted during a confrontation with a known person.  Suspect was not on scene.

03-19-2016 – Suspicious Activity – 7400 blk. Justin Rd., Denton County – Double Oak Officer was dispatched on a suspicious vehicle parked in a pizza restaurant parking lot before opening hours.  Upon further investigation it was determined that the two persons worked at another business and were eating doughnuts.

03-19-2016 – Theft of Firearm – 300 blk. Waketon Rd., Double Oak – Report regarding a missing / stolen revolver.  Upon further investigation it was determined that the offense happened outside Double Oak jurisdiction.

03-19-2016 – Barking Dogs – 100 blk. Creek Side Dr., Double Oak – Report regarding dogs barking at approximately 10:00 p.m.  The dog owners were contacted and they put their pets inside for the night.

03-19-2016 – Loud Music / Noise – 300 blk. Brown Cliff Ct., Double Oak – Officers responded to a loud music and traffic complaint at 10:23 p.m.  Resident was contacted and they were advised to keep the music down and to allow traffic to flow on the street.  Two vehicles were moved to allow safe passage of other automobiles.

03-20-2016 – Suspicious Circumstances – 100 blk. Royal Oaks Dr., Double Oak – A resident reported, at 11:26 p.m. that their garage door kept opening.  Upon further investigation it was determined that the door opener was malfunctioning causing the door to open.

03-21-2016 – Noise Complaint – 300 blk. Granger Circle, Lantana – A witness reported loud noise.  Officer was unable to locate any offense.

03-21-2016 – Suspicious Person – 9200 blk. Simmons Rd., Lantana – Double Oak Officer assisted a Deputy with investigating reports that an unknown person was inside a home that was under construction at 10:31 p.m.

03-22-2016 – Animal Complaint – 500 blk. Waketon Rd., Double Oak – Six goats located at large, two in the roadway, at 11:47 p.m.  Officer was unable to make contact with the owners.  Animals were rounded up and corralled inside a perimeter fence.

03-23-2016 – False Residential Alarm – 200 blk. Lake Trail Dr., Double Oak.

 03-23-2016 – Animal Complaint – 300 blk. Waketon Rd., Double Oak – A resident brought a lost mixed lab dog, found in Flower Mound, to town hall.  Animal was transported by the reporting person to Flower Mound animal control.

03-23-2016 – Assist Agency – 4000 blk. Waller Creek, Highland Village – Double Oak Officer assisted Flower Mound PD on a hit and run suspect traffic stop.

03-23-2016 – Arrest – 3600 blk. Justin Rd., Flower Mound – Officer observed a traffic violation, at 10:41 p.m., in Double Oak.  The violator stopped in Flower Mound where it was determined that the motorist, a 21 year old male, was wanted for numerous warrants out of Roanoke, Irving, Euless and Arlington.

03-24-2016 – Accident – 200 blk. Valley View Trl., Double Oak – Officer investigated a hit and run minor crash between two cars and issued a citation for leaving the scene of the accident.

03-24-2016 – False Residential Alarm – 100 blk. Oak Trail, Double Oak.

 03-25-2016 – Loose Horse – 800 blk. Noble Champions Way, Bartonville – Double Oak Officer assisted a witness with searching for a missing white / brown paint horse while the Bartonville Officer was resolving a disturbance.  Horse was located and returned to a stable.  A caretaker agreed to ensure the horse would be stabled until the fence was repaired.

03-25-2016 – Accidental Shooting – 200 blk. Cedarcrest Ln., Double Oak – A resident accidentally shot himself while cleaning a firearm.  Injury was not life threatening.

03-25-2016 – Suspicious Circumstances – 100 blk. Fox Trot Ln., Double Oak – A caller reported returning home and observing a burgundy pickup truck parked by the duck pond at 1:40 a.m.  Officer made contact with an adult male who had parked and was sleeping on the side of the road.  Subject was cited for an open container violation and released to his parent.

03-25-2016 – Assist Agency – 1100 blk. Maple Leaf Dr., Bartonville – Double Oak assisted Denton County with a health and welfare investigation.

03-25-2016 – Forgery / Fraud – 100 blk. N. Woodland Trail, Double Oak – A resident’s personal identifying information was used, by an unknown person, to file a fraudulent income tax return.

03-27-2016 – Animal Complaint – 100 blk. Meadowknoll Drive, Double Oak – Two large dogs were reported wandering the street.  Animals had been retrieved by their owner upon officer arrival.

03-26-2016 – Accident – 7000 blk. Justin Rd., Double Oak – Two car accident at approximately 9:20 p.m. in which a red SUV struck a vehicle near Cedarcrest Ln. and then fled the location.  Two persons suffered injuries and the vehicle sustained major damage.

03-26-2016 – Arrest – 100 blk. Kings Rd., Double Oak – Suspect motorist from a hit and run accident was located in the vicinity of Kings and Shiloh Rd., Double Oak at approximately 10:18 p.m.  The adult male driver was arrested by a Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper for Driving While Intoxicated and the adult male passenger was arrested for an immigration violation warrant.

03-27-2016 – Disturbance – 700 blk. McMakin Rd., Bartonville – Complainant reported being assaulted during the course of a dispute with a known person.  Suspect fled the scene prior to officer arrival.

04-02-2016 – Found Dog – 200 blk. Simmons Rd., Double Oak – A homeowner reporting finding a dog, holding it in their backyard,  and then attempting to contact it’s owner.

04-03-2016 – Animal Control – 100 blk. Timberview, Double Oak – A resident found a skunk wandering around during daylight hours and trapped it in a plastic container.  Animal control was notified.

04-03-2016 – Ordinance Violation – 100 blk. Twin Lakes Dr., Double Oak – Officer observed several vehicles parked in violation of Town ordinance and obstructing the roadway.  The vehicle owners were contacted and they did relocate their vehicles.

04-03-2016 – Missing Person – 300 blk. Waketon., Double Oak – A family reported a missing teen.  Officers located the subject in Flower Mound and brought them back home.

04-04-2016 – Assist Agency – 500 blk. N. Hwy 377, Argyle – Double Oak Officer acted as cover unit during an investigation conducted by Argyle PD.  A known subject was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

04-05-2016 – Burglary of a Motor Vehicle In Progress – 1100 blk. Grant Ave., Lantana – Double Oak Officer assisted Sheriff’s Department with response to an in progress call in which it was reported that suspects appeared to be attempting to steal tires, wheels and mirror off of their car.  Suspects fled on foot and weren’t located by responding officers.

04-05-2016 – Accident – 100 blk. McMakin, Double Oak – One car vehicle roll over requiring extraction of the driver by the fire department.

04-05-2016 – Theft In Progress – 9100 blk. Brownwood Ave., Lantana – Double Oak Officer assisted Sheriff’s Deputy with investigation into in progress theft at the site of a home that was under construction.

04-06-2016 – Reckless Driver – 8300 blk. Justin Rd., Double Oak – Officer attempted to locate vehicle observed and reported by another law enforcement agency traveling at over 100 miles per hours.  Officer was unable to locate.

04-06-2016 – Missing Person – 700 blk. Cross Timbers Dr., Double Oak – A family reported a close relative missing since 11:00 a.m. the previous day.  Subject arrived home at approximately 2:22 a.m. as the officer was preparing the missing person report.

04-06-2016 – Reckless Damage – 200 blk. Double Oaks Dr., Double Oak – A resident’s mailbox was damaged by a sod truck.  Officer contacted the company and they wanted to speak with the Reporting Party to resolve the damage.

04-07-2016 – Theft – 300 blk. Brown Cliff Ct., Double Oak – A resident reported two pieces of stolen jewelry.  A known party had access to the residence.

04-09-2016 – Animal Complaint – 100 blk. Oakview, Double Oak – Report of a loose dog.  Animal control was notified and Officer attempted to make contact with the dog’s owner.

04-10-2016 – Disturbance – 1100 Maple Dr., Bartonville – Assisted Bartonville PD with investigation into a disturbance call which turned into a civil standby.

04-10-2016 – Assist Fire Department – 200 blk. Meadowknoll, Double Oak – Medical call.

04-11-2016 – Attempted Fraud / Telephone Harassment – 100 blk. Trailing Oaks Dr., Double Oak – A resident received a voice message from a fake Internal Revenue Service Employee threatening a lawsuit.  Complainant did not provide any personal information.

04-11-2016 – Solicitor Complaint – 100 blk. Highview Dr., Double Oak – Officer encountered multiple door to door solicitors.  All were directed to Town Hall to obtain permits.

04-12-2016 – Warrant Arrest – 8100 blk. FM 407, Double Oak – An adult female, twenty-six years of age was stopped for speeding and it was determined that she had five warrants of arrest from Little Elm.  Subject was taken into custody and later released to Little Elm PD.

04-13-2016 – Assist Agency – 3400 blk. E. FM 407, Bartonville – Officer assisted Bartonville PD with the criminal trespass warning of a subject suspected of stealing items from a store.

04-13-2016 – Arrest – 200 blk. Timberleaf, Double Oak – During the conduct of a traffic stop officer smelled marijuana coming from a vehicle passenger compartment.  The driver, an adult male twenty years old, was also wanted out of Denton County and the Denton County Constable’s Office.  Subject was taken into custody for warrants and cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

04-13-2016 – Assist Agency – E. FM 407 and Branch Crossing, Bartonville – Double Oak Officer assisted Bartonville PD with a wanted person.

04-14-2016 – Suspicious Circumstances – 3400 blk. E. FM 407, Bartonville – A witness observed an unknown male exit a Dodge Charge around 5:27 a.m. and run to a key pad / back door of a closed business.  Further investigation revealed that the subject was cleaning an office at the location.

04-14-2016 – Alarm – 300 blk. E. Carruth Ln, Double Oak – A witness reported an audible alarm.  Further investigation revealed it was a septic alarm at a nearby home.  Officer attempted multiple times to contact the home owner.

04-14-2016 – Disturbance – 200 blk. Meadowknoll, Double Oak – An anonymous person reported a disturbance between five people.  Officer responded and found a wedding party being hosted but no disturbance.

04-15-2016 – Alarm – 300 blk. E. Carruth Ln., Double Oak – Officers responded to a residential alarm and found no signs of criminal activity and the house appeared to be secure.

04-17-2016 – Theft In Progress – 9200 blk. Brownwood Ave., Lantana – Officer assisted Denton County Deputy with investigating a possible theft in progress at a construction site.  No suspects were found.

04-18-2016 – Suspicious Circumstances – 2600 blk. E. FM 407, Bartonville – Double Oak Officer assisted Bartonville PD with a stop of three persons in a business parking lot.  Drug paraphernalia was found and citations were issued.

04-19-2016 – Suspicious Circumstances – 300 blk. Oak Trail Dr., Double Oak – A caller reported seeing a truck stop on Oak Trail and hearing a person yell at 3:30 a.m.  Officer checked the area and didn’t detect any criminal activity.

04-19-2016 – Criminal Trespass – 8300 blk. Justin Rd., Double Oak – At the request of a business representative an adult female was issued a criminal trespass warning.

04-19-2016 – Suspicious Circumstances – 8100 blk. Justin Rd., Double Oak – Officer observed an occupied vehicle backed into a driveway at a church at 11:16 p.m.  Further investigation determined that the drive was attempting to take pictures of an inbound storm.
