Argyle puts away Pittsburg
It was another outstanding performance for Argyle on Friday night as they dominated Pittsburg, 59-34.
Taylor Sweatt continued his roll with 3 rushing TD’s to pile up over 1,200 yards and 26 TD’s this season.
Gage McCook got into the end zone twice; off a 21-yard pass from Dane Ledford and later on a 36-yard scramble.
The Eagles (11-1) will take on Kennedale (12-0) in the 4A Division 1, Region II semifinals next Friday at 7:30 p.m. at SMU’s Gerald J. Ford Stadium in Dallas.

Guyer runs over Carroll
Led by a strong ground game, Guyer beat Southlake Carroll 48-35 in the 6A Division II area round.
The three-headed monster running attacks of Shawn Robinson (4 TD’s), Myron Mason (2 TD’s) and freshman Noah Cain (1 TD) did not make life easy for the Carroll Dragons.
Guyer (9-3) faces the San Angelo Central Bobcats (11-1) at 2 p.m. next Friday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

Marcus falls to Mansfield
The Marcus football season came to an end on Friday after a 48-21 loss to Mansfield in the 6A Division II Area matchup at Birdville Fine Arts Athletics Complex.
The Marauders could not stop Mansfield’s running game and only put 7 points on the board in the first half.
Marcus QB Mitch Cason went 27 of 49 for 281 yards and three interceptions.
Marcus finished the season with a 10-2 record.
