CustomInk has exceeded all expectations in terms of growth, said Flower Mound Town Manager Jimmy Stathatos during Monday’s town council meeting.
“Flower Mound is the largest of all locations, including Virginia where they are headquartered,” he said.
The company, which is in a hiring mode, is planning a job fair from 10 a.m. to noon and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at its Flower Mound location at 1600 Lakeside Parkway.
“They are on track to be one of our largest sales tax generators,” Stathatos said, adding that sales were higher than anticipated.
CustomInk was named one of the 2015 Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For, and the top-ranked Virginia-based company on the list. It also marks the first year CustomInk was ranked in the large workplace category (more than 1,000 employees).
In October 2013, Flower Mound council members approved waiving $720,852 in taxes for the online T-shirt retailer to create 160 new full-time jobs and generate $4.2 million in revenue to the town over a 20-year period.
