Dough ready to roll

Lantana residents have a new convenient eatery in their neighborhood with the new Pizza Hut on FM 407 next to Sonic.

The 3,200-square-foot restaurant features both indoor seating for about 50 diners as well as an extensive 50-seat outdoor patio dining area, says manager D. Wesley Marshall.

The restaurant, the first of its kind to roll out nationally, will be a hybrid of fast casual dining and full-service dining, Marshall said, adding cocktail waitresses will be able to re-fill drinks and help customers as needed. The restaurant will employ 40-50 people.

Another first for Pizza Hut is the interior design allowing diners to watch their pizzas as they are being created – from the time the order is made to when it comes fresh out of the oven.

“The restaurant is designed where customers can see the whole process from ordering to packaging,” Marshall said.

The Pizza Hut menu will feature a wide assortment to suit all dining needs – from the pretzel crust and garden fresh pizzas to sandwiches and a wide assortment of salads including the grilled chicken salad and the honey barbecue chicken salad – to name a few.

“This will be the first model like it in the nation,” Marshall said. “We’re pretty excited about it.”
