Marcus soccer teams playoff runs end

The season came to an end for the both the Marcus boys and girls soccer teams Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Marauders fell in the regional finals to Southlake Carroll by a score of 4-1.

Baylee Mitchell scored in the game, but Marcus was not able to overcome a strong Carroll offense.

The Lady Marauders finished up the season with a 24-3-1 mark and 8-2 record in district competition.

The Marcus boys could not overcome Coppell in the regional finals, losing by a score of 1-0.

Marcus and Coppell played twice during the regular season, going 1-1 head to head in district competition, with each team defeating the other by one goal a piece in each game.

Marcus finished up the season with a 22-3-2 mark and 8-1-1 record in district competition.
