SIM Auxiliary Inc., the nonprofit supporting Flower Mound’s Seniors in Motion program, is preparing another evening of food, music, fun and games for its third annual casino night next month.
“Rosewood Roadhouse,” presented by Market Street, will be held Saturday, April 6, from 6:30 to 10 p.m., at Rosewood Assisted Living and Memory Care Community, 4141 Long Prairie Road, across from the new Flower Mound hospital.
“We’re proud to be a supporter of the senior community,” said Roxanne Wilson, executive director of Rosewood. “We’ve been very pleased with the response of the town to the Rosewood facility since we opened in October.”
The event includes dinner, drinks, music, Vegas-style casino games, prizes and a silent auction. Food is being provided by Texas Roadhouse. Market Street, the upscale grocery store being built at FM 1171 and Long Prairie Road, is the lead sponsor.
“Market Street is excited about coming to Flower Mound,” said Kurt McMillan, regional vice president with United Supermarkets, the parent company of Market Street. “We want to be an active part of our community.”
Tickets are $35 per person and $65 per couple and are available Monday through Friday at the Shirley Voirin Social Senior Center, 2121 Cross Timbers Road. Tickets will be sold at the door the night of the event, subject to availability.
Previous SIMA Casino Nights have earned thousands of dollars to support the Flower Mound Seniors in Motion program at the new Shirley Voirin center since it opened in August of 2011.
“We are excited about this event being in the heart of Flower Mound with the support of new businesses Market Street and Rosewood, along with Texas Roadhouse and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital,” said Mary Kay Walker, president of SIM Auxiliary. “The business community of Flower Mound has been and is a big supporter of the senior community and SIMA’s efforts for the seniors.”
