Love Locally: Will you be my Valentine?… Now what do we do?

Whether you’ve been on only one date or have been together for 50 years, the dreaded red-hearted holiday can make even the most confident feel insecure about how to approach the holiday and what to do. We’ve gathered some ways to make Valentine’s Day 2013 memorable no matter what your relationship status is. And if you don’t have a Valentine’s Day date, no worries — these are all great ideas so singles can celebrate too!

Dallas by Chocolate

Wine is also served while traveling between venues. Enjoy samples of chocolates, pastries, ice cream and other delicious treats. Learn some fun facts about chocolate, how it is made and play chocolate trivia for prizes.

Up up and away in my beautiful (romantic) balloon

We’ve all seen beautiful hot air balloons in flight over the Metroplex — and maybe even gone to the annual hot air balloon festivals. But have you ever thought of taking a romantic ride in one? That would be an incredible Valentine’s Day adventure.

Rohr Balloons specializes in sunrise or sunset balloon rides complete with champagne. Want to pop the question? They can help you out with something extraordinary. It’s safe (each balloon comes with an FAA commercial licensed pilot) and it’s thrilling.

The cost is $225 (per person) for a group flight (2-10) in a larger balloon or $700 for a private flight (with the pilot) and it includes champagne after the flight. Photos of your flight are included in the price.

Balloons depart from McKinney. For more information or to schedule a balloon flight, contact Brian Rohr at 214-733-9915.
