Highland Village P&Z approves Whole Foods site plan

The Highland Village Planning and Zoning Commission Tuesday approved a site plan for Whole Foods Market.

The Austin-based organic food chain will construct a 38,309 square-foot store at the northwest corner of FM 407 and FM 2499 in The Shops at Highland Village.

Negotiations are underway between the mall’s owner and tenants Coldwater Creek and Coldwater Creek The Spa to relocate the businesses and demolish their building to make room for the store.

City Council will consider the amendment at their regularly scheduled meeting on December 11.

The store is expected to open in spring 2014.
