Argyle town leaders and local notables will serve as honorary jailbirds to raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters and support Argyle youth who need mentors at the first “Argyle Arrest” event this Saturday, March 31, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Cachette Bistro, 144 Old Town Blvd N.
Denton singer-songwriter Chris Bullard will perform at the event, which is sponsored by Argyle-based Shellis Roofing.
Big Brothers Big Sisters carefully pairs screened adult volunteers and children, ages 7 through 18, and monitors and supports these one-to-one mentoring matches throughout their course.
Currently, 26 Argyle children have requested a Big Brother or Big Sister.
