A Tornado Watch has been issued for Denton County until 10pm tonight. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for Denton County through Tuesday evening.
Heavy rains, courtesy of a strong storm system moving through the southern Plains, will bring a good soaking to Denton County.
Numerous showers and thunderstorms will spread across Denton County Monday into Tuesday that may drop 3 to 5 inches of much-needed rain, according to the National Weather Service.
Forecasters said severe weather could be a problem Monday afternoon into Monday night. Damaging winds and hail appear to be the main threats.
