Double Oak Police Calls

Recent calls reported by the Double Oak Police Department:

February 7
5:19 p.m. 2000 blk. Chinn Chapel Rd. – Motorist Assist – Officer assisted stranded motorist.

9:42 p.m.  6000 blk. FM 407, Bartonville – Assist Agency – Officer Assisted Bartonville PD in search for reckless driver.

February 8
4:25 a.m.  100 blk. Fawn Hollow Dr. – 911 Hang up. – Homeowner had telephone problems.

12:48 p.m.  400 blk. Cross Timbers Dr. – Alarm Call – Officer responded to a residential alarm call.  Residence was secure.

5:01 p.m.  100 blk. Eagles Peak Ln. – Suspicious Vehicle – Officer responded to a call from a concerned citizen who observed an unknown occupied vehicle parked in the street for over an hour.  Bartonville PD located the driver and determined they were in the area waiting for another person.

8:45 p.m.  300 blk. Valley View Trl. – Telephone Harassment – Citizen of Double Oak reported offensive telephone messages by known suspect.

10:15 p.m.  7500 blk. FM 407 – Motorist Assist – Officer provided assistance to a stranded motorist.

10:26 p.m.  1000 blk. FM 1830 – Assist Agency, Sheriff’s Department – Double Oak residents needed transport home after having been involved in a motor vehicle collision in Denton County.  Double Oak Officer brought residents home.

February 10
5:37 a.m.  6000 blk. Kings Rd. – Assist Fire Department – Police Officer provided traffic control for fire department at minor residential fire.

7:52 a.m.  100 blk. Eagles Peak Ln. – Alarm – Homeowner accidentally triggered residential alarm.

February 11
9:19 p.m.  100 blk. Cedarcrest Ln. – Open Door – A concerned citizen reported an open garage door.  Officer found that the interior door was locked and the perimeter of the house was secure.

10:41 p.m.  300 blk. Oakview Dr. – Fireworks Complaint –  Officer was unable to locate the source of fireworks.

10:42 p.m.  100 blk. Willow Oak Ct. – Suspicious Circumstances – A citizen reported two people sitting in a vehicle with no lights on.  Officers made contact with the driver and determined they were waiting for their child who was at a party further down the street.

11:15 p.m.  100 blk. N. Woodrow Ln., Northlake – Assist Agency – Northlake PD was transporting to prisoners to jail when one arrestee developed a medical problem.  A Double Oak Officer assisted by transporting one arrestee to Denton County while the Northlake Officer went to the hospital with a sick prisoner.

February 13
12:08 a.m.  8000 blk. Fairfield St., Lantana – Assist Agency, Denton County Sheriff’s Department – Double Oak Officer assisted Denton County Sheriff’s Department with a residence that was found unsecure.

8:17 p.m.  300 blk. Highland Ct. – Assist Fire Department – Officer stood by while Fire Department conducted an investigation into a possible fire.
