Dallas Cowboys’ team mascot, Rowdy, helped recognize students Monday at Blanton Elementary in Lantana as one of the top schools in the region taking part in the National Football League’s Fuel Up to Play 60 program.
Fuel Up to Play 60 is an interactive program that requires students to eat healthy and be active for at least 60 minutes every day, helping promote a healthy lifestyle.
The NFL started Play 60 as its national fitness and health campaign in 2007, to help families and schools battle childhood obesity.
Blanton students were among the most involved in the Dallas Cowboys’ region, earning them the special recognition from the team.
