Play With Your Food
The Friends of the Flower Mound Library are hosting a Murder Mystery Dinner at 6:30pm on March 6 at Celebrations in Highland Village with a play called the ‘Carpenter House Caper’ featuring numerous local dignitaries, elected officials and members of the business community. Tickets are $50 each. Proceeds will go towards the purchase of books and other materials for the library. Call 972-874-6151 for info. The public is invited to attend the Community Civic League’s annual membership luncheon on Tuesday, March 9, at the Miles Production office at 200 Highland Circle in Argyle at 11:30am. Help Grads Party Smartly
Project Graduation 2010 needs to raise approximately $15,000 to cover expenses for an all-night, alcohol and drug-free party held exclusively for Argyle High School’s 128 graduating seniors. The annual event is organized by the parents of graduating seniors with financial support from the community and local businesses. All monetary contributions can be sent to: Project Graduation 2010, P.O. Box 333, Argyle, TX 76226. Free Classes for Families of Mentally Ill
A new support group has formed to help people deal with a family member or friend diagnosed with a serious mental illness. The National Alliance on Mental Illness Family to Family Support Group offers information, support and advocacy for family members of those diagnosed with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic attacks or other severe anxiety related disorders and meets twice each month on the first and third Monday at 7:00pm at Crossroads Bible Church in Double Oak. Horticultural Scholarship Available
Students studying horticulture are encouraged to submit an application for the Tom Harpool Horticultural Scholarship being offered by the Denton County Master Gardener Association. The $1,000 scholarship was named to honor Denton civic leader and philanthropist Tom Harpool, founder of The Harpool Seed Company. Download an application at www.DCMGA.com. The deadline for applications is March 31st.

Art Gala Benefits Kids
Enjoy wine, champagne and delicious food provided by The Grotto as you browse original artwork from 18 local artists and participate in a live auction led by Rafe Foreman at the 5th Annual Art Gala for the Children’s Advocacy Center for Denton County and Court Appointed Special Advocates of Denton County on April 10 at Cloud 9 in Flower Mound.
