The Texas Department of Transportation has awarded the FM 407 road widening project from Briarhill Road to Chinn Chapel to Dallas-based Tiseo Paving Company.
The project consists of widening 1.369 miles of FM 407 from two to four lanes at a cost of $5.4 million.
Construction is scheduled to begin this May and take 15 months to complete.
East and westbound traffic flows as well as access to retail and commercial developments in Highland Village and Flower Mound will be maintained throughout the project, according to TxDOT officials.
