Police Investigate Vehicle Burglaries

Police are asking Lantana residents to be careful and lock their cars after a rash of vehicle break-ins this week.

Four incidents occurred in three different Lantana neighborhoods on Monday night, according to the Denton County Sheriff’s Office.

A $300 Garmin GPS was stolen out of a pickup truck and a pair of Burberry prescription sunglasses was taken from another vehicle, both in the 8400 block of Navisota Drive in Navarro.

A black purse was stolen from an SUV in the 900 block of Wagner Way in Laviana.  The purse was found in the street behind the SUV, minus $140 cash.

Police said that all three vehicles were unlocked.

In addition, the rear passenger window was broken out on an SUV in the 8300 block of Primrose Trail in Bandera.  Nothing was reported missing from vehicle.

Anyone with information on the crimes is asked to call the Sheriff’s Department at 940-349-1600.
