A Portillo’s restaurant is expected to open in Grapevine this year.
The city’s Economic Development department last week confirmed reports that a new Portillo’s location — known for its Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches and cake shakes — is coming to Hwy 114 in Grapevine. The fast food restaurant is expected to open in late 2024.
The CEO of the growing chain in 2022 told the Dallas Morning News that the company was planning to open about 20 new locations in North Texas through 2027. The first Texas location opened about a year ago in Grandscape in The Colony. In Denton, a new location is currently under construction in Rayzor Ranch, between the Cheddars and In-N-Out restaurants.
