It was quickly the buzz about town as President George W. Bush dropped into Penn Station East Coast Subs in the Robertson’s Creek Shopping Center on FM 2499 in Flower Mound for lunch Tuesday.
Those who met him and posed for photos were thrilled while others who didn’t know of his visit were wishing they’d had the opportunity.
For those who don’t know, presidents, vice presidents and former presidents are accompanied with Secret Service and, for safety reasons, often don’t telegraph where they will be appearing beforehand.
According to a post on social media, Bush is friends with one of the owners of Penn Station who had worked with him in the White House. For those who didn’t get the opportunity to see him in person, check out our Facebook page for a smattering of photos posted online.
