Tax office expands motor vehicle registration locations

Kroger is the newest subcontractor of the Denton County Tax Assessor-Collector office to offer motor vehicle registration renewals.

The grocery store chain now offers registration renewal services in Denton County, including their two Flower Mound stores and Highland Village location.

Vehicle owners will need to provide their registration renewal form from the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles and a valid form of insurance.

All remote locations charge a service fee of $1 for the issuance of the registration sticker.

“We are very excited to be working with Kroger on behalf of our taxpayers and motor vehicle owners. We hope that the additional remote locations will provide yet another option for our customers to renew their registration quickly and efficiently,” said Michelle French, Denton County Tax Assessor-Collector.

The Tax Assessor-Collector office already partners with Tom Thumb and AAA Texas. With the inclusion of Kroger there are now 21 remote locations to choose from to renew motor vehicle registration.

The remote locations are open weekdays, evenings and weekends during store or office business hours for the convenience of Denton County motor vehicle owners.

Vehicle owners can also renew their registration online, by mail or in person.
