Seafood bar to replace Baja Rita’s in Old Town Lewisville

Shortly after the recent closure of Baja Rita’s, a Tex-Mex restaurant in Old Town Lewisville, a seafood bar has announced plans to open in that space.

Baja Rita’s announced on Oct. 10 that it was closing the restaurant, 253 West Church St., immediately. In a lengthy statement, the restaurant did not provide a reason for the closure but expressed gratitude to the community and customers who visited the eatery for a meal.

A few days ago, a new sign was put up at the location saying Palapas Seafood Bar is coming soon to the space. The restaurant had one location in Richardson before it closed recently, and its menu features a wide variety of seafood, as well as tacos, tortas, mixed drinks and other Tex-Mex dishes. No opening date has been announced yet.
