Foodie Friday: Highland Village Restaurant Week 2019

Starting Sunday, October 13 and on through the next Sunday, October 20, get out to some of your favorite Highland Village restaurants to show your support for Highland Village Restaurant Week. This annual event, along with the TXFallenPD Tribute Event held on Saturday, October 19, benefits the Texas Police Chiefs Association’s Foundation which provides resources for families whose loved ones die in the line of duty.

There are several fantastic Highland Village restaurants participating this year including: Freddy’s, Fresco’s, Hillside Fine Grill, Popdod, Salerno’s, Shoal Creek Tavern, Sip | Stir Coffee House, Snuffer’s, and Brass Tap. Here’s the full schedule of when each restaurant is participating and what they’re offering:

One of our favorite things about Highland Village Restaurant Week is the Back the Blue Burger that Snuffer’s offers for the occasion. It’s made with two quarter-pound patties, American cheese and grilled onions and is absolutely delicious. And as you can see, 100% of the proceeds made from any Back the Blue Burger sold next week will go towards the Foundation.

Popdod is also offering a special menu item – The Shield Drink made with Mountain Dew, pineapple and coconut syrups, and a coconut cream. During Restaurant Week, 50% of proceeds from this drink will benefit the Foundation.

After eating at all these great restaurants next week, don’t forget to check out the TXFallenPD Tribute Event Saturday, October 19 at the Shops at Highland Village where there will be fun for the whole family including a 5K, bike race, police obstacle course, kid zone, food & drinks, and live music.

The Highland Village Business Association is also encouraging you to share your Restaurant Week experiences on social media by using #HVRestaurantWeek. Then on Monday, October 21, Highland Village staff will vote on their favorite photo and the winner will receive a special gift basket with some of their favorite things.
