Construction on Argyle High School addition is progressing

The new addition being built at Argyle High School is progressing and should be complete by next month.

Construction began on the 18,000-square-foot, two-story addition in March, after Argyle ISD received approval for the site plan amendment from the Argyle Town Council. Two science labs, a consumer science lab, an art room and eight other classrooms will be housed in the addition, which is located on the southeast side of the school. The work had been approved by voters in the $166 million bond election last year.

When first bringing the site plan amendment to the town for approval, the district estimated that the construction work would be completed in December. However, Argyle ISD Spokeswoman Pam Arrington said this week that the projected completion date is in the latter half of September.
