The retired K9 officer for Corinth Police Department has died.
12-year-old Bear passed away peacefully on Wednesday afternoon, according to the CPD. From 2008 to 2013, Bear helped the police department keep Corinth safe.
“Bear was a superstar,” the department wrote in a Facebook post. “Bear helped to bring many drugs and weapons off the streets and countless suspects to justice. In addition, he also brought smiles to everyone he came in contact with at the department and throughout the Lake Cities area at various public events.”
